The Elwood School District has anticipated vacancies at the following schools: Harley Avenue Primary School (K-12), James H. Boyd Intermediate School (3-5), Elwood Middle School (6-8) beginning in January 2023.Description: Positions may be in an inclusion classroom working with students with disabilities or as a 1:1 supporting students with disabilities in their daily classroom activities. Skills Required: The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with children who have learning and/or behavioral challenges. Experience with de-escalating behaviors and data collection preferred. Applicants must be kind, caring, patient and capable of communicating with our students in a positive manner. Qualifications: Current certification as a Teaching Assistant or classroom teacher or eligibility for NYS Teaching Assistant certification. Teaching Certification in Special Education/Students with Disabilities is desirable.
