The Elwood UFSD is seeking a leave replacement Guidance Counselor in our High School beginning October 31, 2022 through April 2023. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills / qualities:Belief that all students count Strong knowledge of the adolescent learner Empathetic and ability to listen Ability to work on a teamIndividual student academic program planning Helping the school principal identify and resolve student issues, needs andproblems Providing individual and small-group counseling services to studentsAnalyzing disaggregated data Experience working with college bound students and their parentsKnowledge of NavianceAbility to multitaskStrong work ethicUnderstanding of student schedulingEnsuring student records are maintained as per state and federal requirementsRequirements: Current NYS certification as a School Guidance Counselor is required.
