The Elmsford Union Free School District (EUFSD) is seeking a highly dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Special Education Teacher for Alice E. Grady Elementary School in Elmsford, NY.Alice E. We encourage cooperative skills, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.ResponsibilitiesThe Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities. Key duties include:Instruction: Design, adapt, and implement challenging and engaging curricula tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities in grades 2-6IEP Management: Develop, write, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.Assessment & Data: Administer a variety of assessments to evaluate student progress, analyze data, and use results to inform instructional strategies and modify interventions.Collaboration: Work effectively with general education teachers (co-teaching models), related service providers (e.g., speech, OT), support staff, and school administration.Communication: Maintain open, constructive, and timely communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, goals, and services.CSE Process: Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and prepare all necessary documentation.Classroom Environment: Establish a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment that promotes respect and high expectations for all students.
