The Elmsford Union Free School District is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Academic Intervention Specialist / Reading Teacher to join our team at the Alice E. Grady Building. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on student literacy and academic success.Responsibilities:Provide targeted, small-group and individualized reading intervention to students identified as needing academic support.Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify specific reading strengths and weaknesses.Develop and implement data-driven intervention plans aligned with student needs and curriculum goals.Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress.Monitor and track student growth, adjusting interventions as needed.Maintain accurate records of student performance and intervention services.Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in reading instruction and intervention.Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.
