The Elmsford Union Free School District is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic STEAM Teacher to inspire and educate our elementary students at Dixson Elementary (Grades K-1) and Grady Elementary (Grades 2-6). We value innovation, collaboration, and a student-centered approach to learning.Position Overview:The STEAM Teacher will develop and implement engaging, interdisciplinary STEAM lessons that integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. This role will be split between Dixson Elementary (Grades K-1) and Grady Elementary (Grades 2-6), allowing for a diverse and rewarding teaching experience.Responsibilities:Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate STEAM lessons aligned with curriculum standards.Integrate technology, engineering design, and creative problem-solving into all aspects of instruction.Foster a collaborative and inquiry-based learning environment.Design and implement hands-on activities, experiments, and projects that promote critical thinking and creativity.Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of all learners.Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate STEAM concepts into existing curriculum.Maintain a safe and organized learning environment.Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.Stay current with best practices in STEAM education and technology integration.Manage and maintain STEAM lab resources and equipment.Effectively manage time and resources to meet the needs of two elementary schools.
