The Eldred Central School District expects to appoint an individual to the following position for the 2022 - 2023 school year located in the Eldred Junior-Senior High School:The position will be a full time tenure track position, the candidate will work as a Physical Education Teacher for part of the day and Athletic Coordinator for part of the day.Responsibilities May Include:.5 FTE Physical Education (PE) Teacher Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiencesEstablish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activitiesProvide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activitiesIdentify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needsUse relevant technology to support instructionMaintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and developmentUpdate all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies and school regulationsManage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and proceduresParticipate in grade-level, school and parent meetingsCommunicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needsKeep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activitiesCompensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience5 FTE Athletic Coordinator Job Description?Responsible for Interscholastic Athletics and Modified ProgramsCoordinates the recruitment, and selection of Coaches and makes employment recommendations.Ensure the District programs follow all laws, mandates, and policies set up by the state, section, league, and school.Possess a complete and thorough knowledge of the NYSPHSAA and OCIAA.Make requisitions, in cooperation with appropriate staff members for supplies, uniforms, and equipment for athletic programs.Responsible for scheduling athletic events including cancellations and postponements.Coordinate the development of practice schedules.Responsible for supervision at athletic events and activities connected with the program.Work with the Director of Transportation to arrange transportation needs for each sports season.Work with the Maintenance to ensure that all fields and facilities are properly maintained.Salary will be determined based on the individual's prior training and level of experience in accordance with the Eldred Central School Teachers' Association contract.
