Teacher of the Visually Impaired-TVI (Part Time) with anticipated full time potential- Make a difference in a child's life working as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired for the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC). Responsibilities:Expertise in child development, as well as knowledge of various disabilities and methodologiesAssess and write evaluations, IEP goals and progress monitoring to foster an individualized program to best meet needs of studentPurchase and coordinate equipment and materialsKnowledge of large print textbooks, audio textbooks, Braille, and computer programsConsult with teachers in adaptations necessary for effectiveness and safetyMeet with the family to further the educational goals in the IEP Provide training for teachers and staff Have experience with remote programming Provide TVI for school district and/or preschool studentsQualifications:Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited University and NYSED Teacher of the Visually Impaired CertificationTeaching experience preferredDemonstrated ability to communicate/teach with visually impaired individualsExcellent Part and Full Time benefits offered including flexible scheduleECEC is An Equal Opportunity Employer
