School Monitor, ProbationaryGrades K-1Waverly School2025-2026The Eastchester School District is seeking a dynamic candidate for the probationary position of general education school monitor. Ideal candidates are those who are energetic, flexible, patient and enjoy working with Early Childhood Grades (K-1). Duties include supervising and supporting students in the classroom, supporting teachers, and supervising students during lunch in the cafeteria as well as indoor/outdoor recess times.Requirements:Ability to work effectively with elementary school age children;Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff;Ability to take oral and written directives;Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position;NYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, probationary positionHours: 8:55 AM - 3:20 PM, Monday - FridaySalary Range: In accordance with the Eastchester Monitors Association (EMA) negotiated salary schedule, $18.29 - $24.23 per hour, step placement contingent upon prior relevant experience*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
