Teaching Assistant, Leave ReplacementBeginning January 17, 2025Anne Hutchinson SchoolThe Eastchester School District is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of teaching assistant in the Anne Hutchinson School assisting a special education teacher to provide academic, social, and/or communication skills to student or groups of students who have learning, emotional, or physical disabilities. Duties performed under the direction of a special education teacher who is responsible for the design and implementation of educational programs and services. Requirements: NYS certification: Teaching AssistantNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms: 10-month, leave replacement position 1/200 of base salary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule: $30,077-$43,458 (1/200 of step)Prerequisite:*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
