English Teacher/AIS Provider (Grades 9-12), Probationary 2023-2024 Eastchester High School The Eastchester School District is seeking a candidate to fill the probationary position of English Teacher/AIS Provider assigned to Eastchester High School. Responsibilities include developing students' skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, foster communication skills, developing an understanding and appreciation of literature of all types, motivating students to read a wide variety of publications to derive information, comprehend and critically assess the reading materials, and to promote the development of skills in the field of English reading, grammar and syntax.Requirements:Dual NYS certification preferred: English 7-12; Special Education/Students with Disabilities; LiteracyNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
