Special Education Teacher (Grades 6-12), Probationary2023-2024 Eastchester Middle School/High SchoolThe Eastchester School District is seeking a dynamic, innovative and experienced candidate to fill the probationary position of Special Education Teacher assigned to the Middle and High Schools, grades 6-12. The objectives for this assignment is to work with students to assess their reading development, help improve their reading proficiency and comprehension. Requirements:Dual NYS certification preferred: Special Education; Literacy/Reading K-12NYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
