The Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the following:Position: School Counselor (Middle School) Start Date: September 1, 2025 Salary: As per DAFA contract, based on experience Qualifications:NYS Certification in School CounselingModels a vision for preparing future-ready studentsStrong collaboration, organizational, written and communication skillsKnowledge of current research, best practices, and models in the fieldKnowledge of legal, professional, and ethical responsibilities of school counselors aligned to the ASCA National modelKnowledge NYS graduation requirements including pathways to graduationKnowledge of individual and group counseling models, high school master scheduling models, college application and preparationDesired Characteristics, Responsibilities, and Duties:Works collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to implement a comprehensive school counseling program PK-12, with primary responsibility at the high school levelImplements student-centered practices in student counseling and advisementMaintain communication and engagement with parents/guardians in a timely fashionDemonstrates commitment to professional development, teamwork, and innovation in the fieldCollaborates with other educators, outside mental health service providers, and administrators to ensure counseling programs meet individual and district goalsCollaborates with post-secondary institutions, the military, and places of employmentAssists in coordination of family informational college nights & financial planningPerforms other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or Superintendent of SchoolsReports to: Middle School Principal Deadline: Rolling until filled.
