The Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the following: Position: Director of Technology (12 month) Salary: Competitive based on experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field plus;Experience the field of instructional and educational technologies including supervision of othersStrong leadership, collaboration, organizational, interpersonal, written and communication skillsKnowledge of current research and best practices in technology systems management and models Responsibilities and Duties:Provide leadership for short- and long-range planning for all technology initiatives: vision, goals, program objectives/strategies/activities, educational technology, infrastructure, staffing, training, evaluation, and budgeting to support the district’s current and future educational, strategic, and operational goals.Recommend and develop plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, product life cycles, replacement cycles, budget, and staffing.Responsible for the research, purchase, configuration, installation and inventory of technology related hardware and software district wide. Planning for and ongoing management of a hybrid Google Workspace and Windows Active Directory Environment, Firewalls, Antivirus, Content filtering, Student Accounts, Learning Management platforms, and familiarity working with Student Management/Information Systems.Collaborate with district administrators to make informed decisions related to technology and integration of technology in the classroom as well as staff, student, and teacher training.Leads the development and review of District Technology Plan and committee.Provide proactive support to all staff and students and enhance our one-to-one initiative.As a member of the district’s leadership cabinet, regularly delivers information to district staff and Board of Education in documents and presentations.Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of SchoolsSupervises: Supervises, trains, and provides support to information technology staffReports to: Superintendent of Schools
