The Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the following:Position: Academic Intervention Services Teacher (Reading or Literacy Specialist)Start Date: As soon as possible.Salary: As per DAFA contract, based on experience Qualifications: NYS Teaching Certification in Literacy or Special EducationModels a vision for preparing future-ready studentsStrong collaboration, organizational, written and communication skillsStrong student engagement and classroom management skillsHigh levels of knowledge of current research, best practices, assessment, professional development and instructional strategies, programming, and models in the fieldKnowledge and/or experience with Response to Intervention modelsDesired Characteristics, Responsibilities, and Duties:Implement reading intervention program at the middle school levelWork collaboratively with general and special education teachers to implement reading supportsImplement student-centered practices in assessment of student growth, data collection, and reportingMaintain communication and engagement with parents/guardians in a timely fashion regarding individual student progress, celebrations, and reporting of concernsImplement differentiated models of instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners, including students in need of modifications and accommodationsCommitment to professional development, teamwork, and innovation in the fieldPerforms other duties as assigned by the building principal or Superintendent of SchoolsReports to: Middle School Principal
