Terms: Full-time, 12 Months Qualifications: Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipmentAbility to follow simple oral and written instructionsAbility to perform a variety of maintenance tasksWilling to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasksAbility to get along with others; thoroughness; dependabilityPhysical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. Desired Characteristics, Responsibilities, and Duties:This is routine and repetitive manual work calling for the efficient and economical performance of building cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.Cleaning tasks are performed according to a well-established procedure, and maintenance performed under general supervision.Supervision over the work of others is not normally a responsibility of the employees in this class.Performance of building cleaning and minor maintenance tasks; washes windows, walls, blackboards, sinks and other fixtures; polish furniture and metal furnishings; empties wastebaskets, collects and disposes of rubbish; clear snow and ice from walks; may mow lawn, trim shrubs, rake leaves and perform a variety of other grounds keeping tasks; performs other duties as required.Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi is a leader in academic excellence, focused on preparing students to excel in a diverse and dynamic society.
