POSITION: Speech Language PathologistQUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certified as Speech Language Pathologist; familiarity with current research, methodology, and learning standards in speech therapy. Experience working with students with cerebral palsy, developmental verbal apraxia, hearing impairments, stuttering, and autism spectrum disorders preferred. Should be familiar with augmentative communication devices, amplification devices, and basic signs. REPORTS TO: Director of Special EducationPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide speech and language therapy to students with disabilities, as per their IEPs or Section 504 Plans.Provide Speech Improvement Services to non-mandated studentsProvide consultation to classroom teachers, special education teachers, related service providers, and parents regarding the speech and language needs of students.Attend CSE, CST, and Section 504 meetings.Perform screenings, evaluations, and assessments, as requested.Develop reports: Screenings, Initial Assessments, Reevaluations, Annual Education Reviews, and make recommendations to the CSEDevelop and update IEPs as needed.Develop skills to be an active member of the CPSE STARTING DATE: September 1, 2023 APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 17, 2023APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Apply to www.olasjobs.orgCoxsackie-Athens CSD
