Video Production TeacherCroton-Harmon High School has an opening for a probationary teacher with background and interest in video production, media and journalism. CHHS currently has a video production class sequence (video production 1-4) that progresses students through the basics of video production and creating short screenplays in Video Production 1 and 2 through producing a news broadcast on a regular basis in Video Production 3 and 4. In video production 1 and 2 students learn Hollywood script structure, screenplay writing, stages of production, equipment knowledge, lighting techniques, and directing concepts as well as non-linear editing using Final Cut Pro X software. In Video Production 3 and 4 students focus on advanced lighting concepts, advanced DP techniques, 24p camera recording, professional editing techniques, effects application, multi-track overdubbing, and scoring. As we look to grow and expand our video production program, we are interested in someone who, in addition to technical knowledge of video production, can also bring in a media and journalism lens and envision how our curriculum can grow in the future.Prospective candidates should hold NYS teaching certification, such as:Business and MarketingMusicTechnology Education Theater Visual Arts
