Anticipated Leave Replacement: World Language Teacher of Spanish Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School has an anticipated opening for a Spanish teacher who wants to be part of an excellent, student-centered middle school and join a very successful World Language Department. A successful candidate will be able to:Design instruction to meet the needs of all students through both individual and small group settings as neededDesign clear and specific learning assessmentsManage the classroom and individual student behavior to maintain a productive, growth-oriented learning environmentPrepare lesson plans that achieve clear objectives, use appropriate techniques, and serve the needs of all learners in the classroomProvide grade appropriate instructional program for students in accordance with curriculum and World Language standardsCollaborate with faculty, staff and school administrationDemonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the content area in order to instruct various levels of studentsCommunicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators and the communityKeep parents up-to-date of student progressCroton-Harmon School District embraces diversity in our workplace and in our schools.
