The Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is accepting applications for a NYS Certified English teacher in our Career and Technical Education Department. The Career & Technical Education (CTE) program at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES provides students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers. This position offers a unique opportunity to integrate English Language Arts skills with real-world applications within our CTE programs. The chosen candidate will work to foster literacy, communication and critical thinking skills in accordance with NYS standards, while also preparing students for success in their chosen career pathways. The teacher will be responsible for delivering ELA instruction that is relevant and applicable to a variety of CTE fields. This allows for the teacher to tailor curriculum to meet the differing needs of students across programs while collaborating with each CTE program teacher. The successful candidate must possess or be eligible for NYS Certification in English 7-12.This is a full-time, 10 month position that follows the school calendar.
