Position Description: The Cazenovia Central School District is seeking a qualified, experienced candidate to serve as District Treasurer. Located in Cazenovia, NY, the district serves approximately 250 employees and 1,350 PreK–12 students with an annual operating budget of $40,000,000. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package under a flexible professional service agreement. Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Accounts Payable & Cash Management Preparing A/P claims for payment Paying all authorized obligations of district as directed Maintaining proper records and files of all checks and approved payment of bills and salaries Preparing bank deposits Entering cash deposits into nVision Reconciling bank statements 2. Budgeting & General Ledger Operations Assisting SBO in developing budget proposals Inputting budget into nVision Modifying budget codes for salaried staff based upon the budget Meeting monthly with SBO for budget review & monitoring Reviewing expenditures detail on a monthly basis Creating summary listing for input into nVision 3. Grant Financial Management & Compliance Verifying budget calculations in grant proposals Completing FS reporting as needed for grants (request funds, budget amendments, final closeout) Preparing Maintenance of Effort (MOE) compliance/eligibility reports 4. Payroll, Taxes & Benefits Administration Preparing time certifications for all salaried positions Overseeing retiree health insurance billing Filing quarterly taxes 5. Year-End & Board Reporting Assist with year-end closeout and ST3 including Compensated Absences report Reviewing monthly board meeting reports for disposed or donated items 6.
