The Cazenovia Central School District is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated 1.0 FTE School Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative professional with a strong clinical skill set and experience navigating the special education process.Key Responsibilities and Focus AreasThe School Psychologist will perform a range of duties essential to supporting student success, with a strong emphasis on the following areas:Special Education, CSE and 504 Experience (Committee on Special Education)Serve as an integral member: Committee on Special Education (CSE), Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) and 504 Committee Serve as the chair of committee meetings when needed Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations, write clear, well-supported reports, and present findings to committees.Expertly interpret evaluation results and effectively communicate implications for programming Ensure compliance with all state and federal special regulations and timelinesCounseling and Mental Health SupportProvide counseling services to students, including individual, small group, and crisis counseling, to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support student well-being and mental health.Consult with parents, teachers, and other staff members to provide effective strategies for supporting student success Collaboration and Crisis InterventionBe knowledgeable in best practices in crisis management and intervention.Assist in crisis response and serve as a resource for staffTCIS certification or a commitment to become certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools is highly desired.Collaborate with school support teams including, Mental Health Team and MTSS teamProvide behavioral consultation and support to staff, develop and implement effective behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and functional behavior assessments (FBAs).Be skilled in progress monitoring, data collection and interpretation of that data for multiple audiences Required QualificationsNew York State Certification as a School Psychologist.Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology.Preferred Demonstrated experience in a school setting Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) certification Application ProcedureInterested candidates should apply on OLAS and submit a letter of interest and resume to Amy Bailey (abailey@caz.cnyric.org) by March 13, 2026.
