Teaching Assistant – 1.0 FTEPosition to Begin: ASAPRequirements:Successful candidates must have a valid and current NYS Teaching Assistant Certification (Professional, level I, II or III) or in the process of pursuing;This vacancy is for Burton Street but Teaching Assistants can be moved to any age level and/or building within the district based on student need. Facilitate classroom instruction; deliver IEP accommodations; lead small groups at the direction of the classroom teacher. Potentially support students in a 1:1 setting.Enthusiastic about supporting all students in an inclusive setting, and in small groups;High-quality student management skills;Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, staff, parents/guardians, and service providers.Flexibly step-in to other duties as assigned.
