Cazenovia Central School is looking for a School Social Worker, or a Counselor to join our team at our Burton Street (elementary) campus working with students in grades UPK-grade 4 for the 2025-2026 school year. Successful candidates must be prepared to:Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social-emotional challenges;Offer guidance on developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution;Collaborate with teachers and staff to create and implement interventions for students in need of additional support;Conduct assessments and provide referrals for additional services as needed;Facilitate and assist in implementing school-wide programs (including Second Step) and activities to promote mental health awareness, inclusivity, and positive behaviors;Work closely with parents to ensure a strong home-school connection and offer support as needed;Exhibit excellent work ethic and organizational skills;Show alignment to the District's mission and vision.Qualifications:Successful candidates must have: a Master’s degree in Social Work, School Counseling, or a related field;The appropriate licensure/certification for Social Worker or School Counselor in New York State;Experience working with young children (grades UPK-4) in a school setting is preferred.Interested candidates should apply through OLAS and can reach out to either Cristina Knapp - Burton Street Principal (cknapp@caz.cnyric.org), or Kevin Linck - Assistaint Superintendent (klinck@caz.cnyric.org).
