The Bay Shore School District, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking to hire a highly qualified School Psychologist on the elementary level (grades 3-5) for the 2026-2027 school year. Key responsibilities: Communication and collaboration with administrators, teachers, related service providers and support staff members. Provide school based counseling services to students, both individually and in a group. Chairperson of Committee on Special Education (CSE) and 504 meetings. Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational initial evaluations and three year reevaluations. Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs). Develop, implement, and monitor Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs). Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention for students experiencing an emotional or behavioral crisis. Participate in Instructional Support Teams (IST and other problem-solving teams. Ensure compliance with special education regulations, confidentiality requirements, and ethical standards of practice. Candidates who are multilingual are encouraged to apply to our culturally enriched suburban Long Island school district. Bilingual skills are preferred.
