The Bay Shore School District , an Equal Opportunity Employer , is seeking to hire a highly qualified special education teacher for a part time (.5) Resource Room position on the elementary level (grades 3-5) for the 2026-2027 school year. Key responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Differentiate instruction using evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions. Maintain accurate documentation, including progress monitoring data on IEP goals and quarterly progress reports. Communication and collaboration with administrators, teachers, related service providers and support staff members. Collaborate with general education teachers to support student access to grade-level curriculum. Prepare for and participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, providing progress updates and recommendations.
