Qualifications:Required New York State Certification as EITHER a School Psychologist OR School Social Worker**Note that there are opportunities in-district for clinical supervision for those interested in working towards their LCSW.General Overview of Responsibilities/Duties: Provide student counseling as identified on IEPs, 504s, and through MTSSCommunicate and collaborate verbally and in writing with other educators, parents, students, and administration for the benefit of studentsEngage in professional development on an ongoing basisAttend and contribute in various meetings to improve systems, problem solve issues, and lend expertise, including, but not limited to teacher team meetings, CSE meetings, 504 meetings, and MTSS meetings. Maintain detailed records, including, but not limited to, student progress in counseling, counseling attendance, and parent communication Collaborate with educators, parents, students, and administrators to support the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and supports for students Other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Director of Pupil Personnel Services or designeeCommunicate and collaborate with outside providers and agencies to support students, including but not limited to private therapists and community organizations.
