Qualifications:New York State Certification as a School Psychologist requiredExperience working at the secondary level preferred, but not requiredGeneral Overview of Responsibilities/Duties: Practice in accordance with the current NASP Model for Comprehensive and Integrated School Psychological Services (NASP Practice Model)Conduct through psycho-educational evaluations using standardized assessments to inform parents, educators, and students of strengths, areas for growth, and specific recommendationsDemonstrate knowledge of special education regulations, processes, and procedures. Participate in and chair CSE, CPSE, and 504 meetingsCommunicate and collaborate verbally and in writing with other educators, parents, students, and administration for the benefit of studentsEngage in professional development on an ongoing basisAttend and contribute in various meetings to improve systems, problem solve issues, and lend expertise Collaborate with educators, parents, students, and administrators to support the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students Other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Director of Pupil Personnel Services or designee***Applicants will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled***
