Multiple certifications preferred, but not required. Knowledge of instructional best practices, as well as good communication skills and dedication to student success are a must. A Probationary appointment will be based on certification and education, NYS Education Laws and the ACFA Teacher’s contract. ACS is a rural school district located in the heart of the Thousands Islands region of the St. Lawrence River in Alexandria Bay, NY. The school district has a UPK-12 population of approximately 500 students housed in one building with a staff of 75 full-time personnel. Our school is the hub of the community where most civic, social, and cultural activities take place. The village is a major tourist attraction situated on the U.S. and Canadian border, just five miles north of the Thousand Islands International Bridge and Interstate 81.
