The Wynantskill UFSD is hiring for an elementary special education teaching assistant for the 2024-25 school year. Special education experience preferred.Responsibilities include:Helping Teachers with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipmentReviewing lessons or lectures with students on a one-on-one basis or in small groupsSupervising students in class, between classes and during recreation periods and field tripsTracking attendance, grading assignments and calculating gradesGiving extra help to students who need special accommodations or are struggling with a conceptAssisting students with special learning requirements, including disabilities or English as a second language studentsAttending faculty meetings and parent conferencesCollaborating with the Teacher to identify students’ issues and recommend solutionsObserving state, school and class rules and regulations
