A certified teacher (7-12 content), fosters student self-efficacy, addressing an identified gap in academic belief using Panorama student data. This RECOVS role focuses on Credit Recovery beyond Algebra, Algebra Extended, or Geometry, emphasizing career awareness and academic efficacy. It supports students' navigation of WHS, with a caseload of approximately 60 students, each receiving 30 annual hours of contact. This role expands student access to recovery professionals, improves staff and student capacity to address learning loss, and implements culturally and linguistically responsive math practices ("Bridging" programs).Responsibilities:Expertise in 9-12 curricula, credit accrual, and graduation requirements.Collaborate with Counseling to address high school success barriers.Provide classroom support and meet with key teachers.Develop a caseload of 60 closely monitored students, each receiving 30 annual hours of intervention.Engage with staff, particularly special education, to support students lacking adequate assistance.Work with the Home-School Coordinator to address attendance issues.Log data in City Span to analyze intervention outcomes and adjust approaches.Collaborate with district leaders for additional student support.Plan and lead Summer Bridge programs for smoother transitions.Serve on the Program Advisory Committee and meet weekly with the Home School Coordinator.Provide progress reports.Engage with Department Chairs and attend relevant meetings. This is a grant-funded position.
