The district has created a 6:1:2 program primarily with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The expectations for the OT professional to provide direct services to students and also work with the teacher to create a sensory sensitive environment. It is anticipated the position would be AM or PM opposite the SLP Monday through Friday and the other half of the day would be working with other students in the district. Responsibilities include: Direct service with students according to a written treatment plan/IEP that the OT develops. Maintain high standards of confidentiality, attendance, and flexibility, while working cooperatively with Supervisors and teachers. Maintain records and documentation. Communicates and interacts with other team members, school personnel, and families Must be Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in NYS. Full-time, 10 month position, tenure track position. Salary per the WTA contract- salary range is $54,025-$60,888 and based upon experience. Generous benefits package available. Eligibility to contribute to the NYS Employee Retirement System (ERS).
