Waterford-Halfmoon Jr/Sr High School is searching for individuals who are looking for a career in the education sector. Our Teaching Assistants work directly with students assisting them with academic courses. This position offers competitive pay and benefits. Staff members have the ability to participate in the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) through NYS. Our school boasts a high graduation rate, courses that prepare students for post school opportunities and a caring teaching staff that support students as well as one another. CTLE credits for Teaching Assistants are offered throughout the school year.The successful candidate will work with students at the Jr/Sr High School reinforcing academic material, providing program modifications and testing accommodations. Must be flexible in working with colleagues, be able to accurately report student progress to the students’ case managers on a regular basis and have a positive attitude! Full time, 10 month position, benefits per the CSEA contract. $15.59 per hour. Hours are 7:45-2:30. Must have appropriate NYS certification.
