This class is a Functional Skills Classroom for elementary level students (6:1:2). The Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of all students with disabilities and create an enriching classroom environment. Students will receive a comprehensive array of related services and some will utilize augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) devices. There will be a full time Teaching Assistant and Teacher Aide. Additionally, there will be a part time Occupational Therapist and part time Speech Therapist that will staff the classroom opposite times of the day. Teacher Aide Requirements Prefer experience working with student on the Autism Spectrum This is a permanent, 10 month position. Per the CSEA contract, the salary is more than $16.00 per hour (this was the ‘25-’26 rate. The union is currently in negotiations). A generous benefits package is available.
