This position is for an Aide in a new Elementary Functional Skills Classroom (6:1:2). The classroom team will include a Special Education Teacher who will develop and provide individualized instruction to meet the unique educational needs of students with disabilities, with the support of an aide and teaching assistant, and related service providers. We are seeking candidates for the aide position, who are enthusiastic about collaborating with a dedicated team to create a supportive, engaging, and enriching learning environment. Students in this classroom will receive a comprehensive range of related services designed to support their academic, communication, social, and functional development. Some students will use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and will require assistance with daily living skills, including toileting. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, flexible, and committed to supporting students with diverse learning, communication, and functional needs while working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families. Teacher Aide Requirements Prefer experience working with student on the Autism Spectrum This is a permanent, 10 month position. Per the CSEA contract, the salary is $16.64 per hour.
