Donald Myers Education Center, Saratoga SpringsWork Hours: Flexible scheduling eveningsResponsible for teaching Basic Residential Wiring and/or Advanced Residential Wiring courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting.Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students which prepare students to gain/increase skills in the area of Residential WiringResponsible for teaching all elements of house wiring, laws of electricity, building codes, wiring, testing and troubleshooting (Basic)Responsible for teaching advanced wiring techniques, service entrances, panel wiring, circuit bending, and codes (Advanced)Plan and prepare relevant and practical class lessons and monitor student’s performance.Implement a variety of instructional delivery methods, that include group or individualized instruction as well as computer programs that help students make learning gains.Create a climate that encourages and supports learning.Complete and maintain appropriate student registration, attendance, and assessment recordsResponsible for effective classroom management that enhances student learningPerform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree or demonstrated experience in the Residential Wiring discipline.Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply
