Donald Myers Education Center, Saratoga Springs, NY Work Hours: Monday - Friday ; 8:00-2:45pmThe Work Based Learning Coordinator plays a key role in bridging the gap between classroom instruction and real-world work experiences for students in CTE programs. They are responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with local businesses and organizations to facilitate meaningful work-based learning opportunities for students in Career and Technical Education.Establish and cultivate relationships with local employers, industry partners, and community organizations to identify and secure work-based learning opportunities for CTE students; Collaborate with CTE teachers and school administrators to align work-based learning experiences with curriculum and program goals; Coordinate and oversee placement of students in appropriate work-based learning settings; such as internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, and/or cooperative educational programs; ?Monitor and evaluate student performance and progress in work-based learning experiences, providing support and guidance as needed. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as school district policies; Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student placements, employer partnerships, and program activities; Promote and market the work-based learning program to potential students, parents, and community stakeholders; Provide professional development and training opportunities for CTE teachers, employers, and other stakeholders involved in the work-based learning program; Participate in advisory committees, workforce development initiatives, and other community partnerships related to CTE and work-based learning. Participate in professional development activities to stay current in the field; Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, parents, advisory boards, and industry partners in the community; Implement BOCES policies, procedures and State Education Department mandates; Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications NYS Certification in Career and Technical Education 7-12; and NYS Certification in Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs ExtensionDiverse candidates are encourage to apply
