Number of Positions: 1Salary: Per SABEA SRP ContractLocation: F. Donald Myers Education Center, Saratoga Springs Work Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00pm-11:00pmAssists in a variety of tasks in regard to the upkeep of buildings such as cleaning, washing windows, and scrubbing floors;Takes part in painting of rooms and hallways;Performs minor carpentry work such as repairs to desks, tables, and office furniture;Prepares surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, washing, and applying paint and varnish remover;Assists in the maintenance of grounds by mowing lawns, trimming shrubbery, and taking take of flower beds;Replaces defective fuses and light bulbs;Cleans lavatories and polishes brass and metal work;Helps to clean and maintain tools, machinery, and other mechanical equipment;Assists in removing snow and ice from walks, parking lots, and pathways.Minimum Qualifications:One year experience in manual labor.Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.Note: Vacancies are filled by a certified list provided by Washington County Civil Service. Should no certified list be available, candidates appointed to this position will be serving in a provisional appointment in accordance with New York State Civil Service Law.
