Number of Positions: 1Salary: $25.50 - $35 per hour commensurate with experienceLocation: TBDWork Hours: TBDResponsible for teaching Basic Residential Wiring and/or Advanced Residential Wiring courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting;Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students which prepare students to gain/increase skills in the area of Residential Wiring;Responsible for teaching all elements of house wiring, laws of electricity, building codes, wiring, testing and troubleshooting (Basic);Responsible for teaching advanced wiring techniques, service entrances, panel wiring, circuit bending, and codes (Advanced);Plan and prepare relevant and practical class lessons and monitor student’s performance;Implement a variety of instructional delivery methods, that include group or individualized instruction as well as computer programs that help students make learning gains;Create a climate that encourages and supports learning;Complete and maintain appropriate student registration, attendance, and assessment records;Responsible for effective classroom management that enhances student learning;Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Construction, or similar field ORDemonstrated experience in the Residential Wiring disciplineDiverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
