The West Islip School District has an Anticipated opening for an ENL Teacher Secondary and Elementary.Qualifications:English to Speakers of Other Languages certified Secondary certification in English Language Arts is preferred but not necessaryResponsibilities:Design and implement lessons that foster collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, and communication skillsProvide both integrated and stand-alone ELL instruction to studentsAdminister LAS Links, NYSITELL, and NYSESLAT assessments to evaluate student language proficiencyMonitor student performance and adjust teaching strategies and techniques to improve content delivery and meet student needsDemonstrate strong communication skills in collaborating with colleagues, students, and familiesAdditional Information:This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive educational environment, where teachers are encouraged to innovate and excel in their teaching practices.The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting English Language Learners and committed to helping them succeed academically and socially.
