Anticipated Opening for September 2025Secondary School Technology TeacherProbationary Position Are you the tech educator who gets excited about transforming curious minds into coding wizards? Someone who lights up when you see students' eyes brighten as they bring their first robot to life or create that perfect video that tells their story? We're looking for a technology teacher who thrives on guiding students from their first "Hello, World!" to building complex applications that solve real problems. You'll be the mentor who helps them hack through coding challenges, direct and produce videos that showcase their creativity, and engineer robots that actually work. This isn't about teaching students to follow instructions – it's about empowering them to become the creators, innovators, and problem-solvers our world desperately needs. You know that magic moment when a student finally gets their code to run, when their robot responds to their commands, or when they see their video vision come to life on screen? That's what drives you. You understand that mastery comes through hands-on exploration, creative problem-solving, and the kind of iterative learning that happens when students aren't afraid to break things and build them better. If you're ready to join a team that values innovation over memorization, creativity over compliance, and genuine learning over test scores, we want you on the RamFam. This is where your passion for technology education becomes the catalyst for student transformation. If you are interested, here is what year one is all about. This opportunity is not just theoretical for a technology educator – it will be a reality. Becoming a member of the RamFam will allow you to create the conditions for students to be in a state of imbalance and then provide the feedback necessary to transform learning. We also want an educator whohas high levels of knowledge and understanding of the content they teach.can guide learning to surface and deep outcomes.can successfully monitor learning and provide feedback that assists students in progress.can attend to more attitudinal attributes of learning (i.e., self-efficacy, mastery motivation).can provide defensible evidence of the positive impacts of teaching on student learning.Realistically, we need someone with the proper certifications. However, you need to understand the content being taught or utilize our vast professional development opportunities to hone your craft. You will be expected to be able to provide feedback that advances student learning. The successful candidate will naturally attend to the social-emotional component of learning and discuss why teaching "moves" have or have not worked. While this is all about year one and beyond, day one is good, too. There are things like compensation, the district, the staff, and the location. However, none of this matters unless "Year One and Beyond" makes career sense for you. Desired Skills and ExperienceIf you can accomplish the above, you have what it takes. Realistically, it would help if you had the proper certification and hands-on knowledge of state standards, coding, Tinker Cad, 3D design and printing, robotics, Arduinos, CAD, special education, and English as a New Language. If you have it, you know why. If you do not, ask someone who does, and if they think you can do the work or they will help you through it, let's talk.
