The Valley Stream CHSD, a beautifully diverse school community, is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Work Based Learning Coordinator. The successful candidate must possess valid NYS certification as CTE Teacher as well as Work Based Learning Programs extensions. The WBL Coordinator will:Work with the Chairperson of CTE in collaboration with classroom and CTE teachers Create relationships with Chamber of Commerce Develop work opportunities for our students the Valley Stream and surrounding communities. Help to establish a CDOS pathway for our students. Connect our students with apprenticeship programs. Oversee career awareness activities and experiences and supervise students once they are placed in a worksite. Ensure that work-based learning experiences are available to all students in approved programs.
