The Valley Stream CHSD, a beautifully diverse school community, is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Probationary Secondary School Music Teacher (Chorus). This is a tenure track position in a middle school (7-9). The successful candidate must possess valid NYS certification and be prepared to demonstrate high piano proficiency to accompany students in class, for NYSSMA solo evaluations, and in concert if needed. This position is being reposted. Familiarity with the unique needs and pedagogy of middle / junior high school students’ voices, repertoire, and concert programming is essential.Extra-curricular musical / theatrical production experience is a plus.
