Position Summary:Vanderheyden is seeking a Science Teacher to teach students at our certified 853 school. Required Education, Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor Degree required, Masters preferredExperience in General Sciences or Earth Science, K-12 or 7-12Experience with at-risk youth and/or youth with special education needs preferred Abilities and Working Conditions: Must be available to work a first shift, 36 hour work weekMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.Willingness to respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population.Ability to deal positively with changing priorities in a fast paced environment.Display a positive, professional and proactive attitude to accomplish quality work that is in line with the agency’s mission statement.Seek opinions, alternative viewpoints in decision making.
