QUALIFICATIONS:NYS Students with Disabilities (Grades 5-9) Generalist or (All Grades) Certification and New York State subject area certification or SOCE (Statement of Continued Eligibility) in one of the following areas: Math, Science, Social Studies, or English.Experience with children with Autism and/or expressive/receptive language disorders.NYS TESOL and/or Bilingual Certification desired.REQUIREMENTS:Utilize standardized tests and dynamic assessments to identify students’ strengths and weaknesses.Complete written evaluation/annual review reports and determine goals and accommodations and modifications for IEPs.Plan and implement lessons and interventions informed by students’ collected data and evaluation/dynamic assessment results to allow access to the curriculum.Provide consultation and support to parents, faculty, and staff.Provide guidance and workshops to parents to enhance the development of Student LearningStrong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Assign and supervise Teaching Assistants, and Aides working within the classroom.Bilingual Candidates are encouraged to apply.EFFECTIVE: September 1, 2024SALARY: As per contract, $57,997 - $97,148APPLICATION: Contact Orande DaringDEADLINE: Aug 14
