Position Overview The Union Springs Central School District is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and authentically student-centered Agriculture Teacher to lead our growing and well supported 6-12 Agriculture Education program. Our community has a rich and storied tradition in agriculture. As such, we have a vibrant and invested Agri-business community. We are looking for an educator who not only shares that passion, appreciation but is deeply committed to fostering the next generation of agricultural leaders. We are seeking a candidate who possesses the vision and the creativity to take our program to the next level. The successful candidate will focus on the development and delivery of relevant and authentic course work and experiences for our students. You will work closely with our Administrative team and to scale the program and act as a vital liaison with local agribusinesses to bridge classroom learning with real-world industry opportunities. Many additional opportunities are available through the leadership of our FFA program. These opportunities can be reviewed and discussed during the application process. Qualifications: Valid New York State Agriculture certification (or eligibility) Commitment to experiential, project-based learning Ability to support a comprehensive CTE program and student career exploration Strong communication and collaboration skills Current Courses Offered - Instruction: Deliver high-quality, engaging classroom and laboratory instruction for a diverse curriculum, including: Introduction to Agriculture Exploratory Agriculture Animal Science Plant Science Ag Business Union Springs CSD offers a supportive learning environment, expensive agricultural facilities, a 100 acre forest, an active FFA chapter, and strong partnerships that prepare students for future success in agriculture and related industries. Minimum Salary: $55,995 (Benefits per Teacher's Union Contract).
