Valid School District Administrator certificate required (SDA/SDL)2. Master’s degree3. Experience in administration and supervision preferred.Reports to: Assistant Superintendents Job Goals: 1. To oversee all aspects of registration and student data management.2. To develop and sustain a quality comprehensive Information Technology network for instruction and administration in order to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.Supervises: 1. Student Registration Personnel2. Information Technology Personnel3. Technology Integrators Job Responsibilities:Serves as the Chief Information Officer for the district, reporting all student and district accountability to the State Education Department; works collaboratively with all district administrators to provide high quality data to support and implement the district’s initiatives.2. Keeps the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendents, and Board of Education informed concerning all major developments in the schools and in technology developments through regular reports; provides organized and detailed program information as requested by the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents.3. Oversee the District’s student registration and enrollment programs.4. Coordinates the program for school attendance, oversees all attendance records, facilitates home visits and oversees the work of the attendance officer.5. Serves as the District Homeless Liaison.6. Manages the K-12 State assessment program under the direction of the Directors of Curriculum and Instruction K-5 and 6-12 7. Serves as the District liaison between BOCES Managed Data and BOCES Information Technology in order to utilize available resources in a cost-effective manner.8. Plans for the implementation, evaluation and improvement of the Information Technology program, including Ed Law 2D.9. Develop programs and schedules necessary for the effective use of computer hardware and software in instruction and administration of the school system.10. Provides leadership and direction to Information Technology personnel, including Technology Integrators.11. Establishes and implements information technology strategic plans and operating policies for the district.12. Recommends all personnel for employment in Information Technology departments with the involvement of appropriate district personnel.13. Develop and administers budgets for the Information Technology department.14. Observes and evaluates probationary and tenured personnel in accordance with established guidelines.15. Plans for staff development in the field and keeps staff informed of these trends and developments.16. Serves as Records Management Officer for all district records, including records retention and disposition.17. Supervises and evaluates support personnel in accordance with established guidelines.18. Participates in the facilitation of other initiatives at the district and school levels as needed, including serving as a Department Head 19. Understands the community the program serves and cooperates with community groups, as required.20. Coordinates meetings, committees, and activities that might be necessary to produce an effective instructional program.21. Complete all other tasks assigned by the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendents
