Job Posting: Speech/Language Therapist – Extended School Year (ESY) Position: Speech/Language Therapist – ESY Program Location: Tuckahoe UFSD, Elementary, Middle & High School Program Dates: July 1 – August 11, 2026 Days/Hours: Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM Compensation: As Per Contract Job Summary Tuckahoe Union Free School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech/Language Therapist to support students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This position focuses on providing speech and language services to students with disabilities to prevent regression and promote continued development of communication skills. Job Description The Speech/Language Therapist is responsible for delivering individualized and group speech-language services aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The therapist will assess communication needs, implement evidence-based interventions, and support students in developing expressive and receptive language, articulation, social communication, and related skills. This role requires collaboration with special education staff and related service providers to ensure cohesive and effective service delivery. Job Responsibilities Provide speech and language therapy services aligned with IEP goals Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs Develop and implement individualized and small-group therapy sessions Support students in articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, and pragmatic language skills Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals Maintain accurate and compliant service records and session notes Collaborate with teachers, aides, and related service providers Contribute to a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment Communicate student progress with families and school staff Qualifications Valid New York State certification/license as a Speech-Language Pathologist required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience working with students with disabilities required Strong background in speech and language development and intervention strategies Knowledge of IEP implementation and progress monitoring Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Tuckahoe Union Free School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
