We pride ourselves on our commitment to all students and our innovative working environment.DUTIES: TST BOCES is seeking a dynamic, hands-on educator to lead our regional Machining and Manufacturing Career & Technical Education (CTE) program. The successful candidate will guide high school students through a two-year sequence that builds foundational and advanced skills in machining, manufacturing, and design. Responsibilities include instructing students in precision measurement, manual machining (lathe and mill operations), and the safe use of equipment such as drill presses, band saws, and plasma tables. The role also involves introducing students to TIG welding and core employability skills. In the second year of the program, the instructor will support students in learning technical drafting, blueprint reading, CNC programming, and 3D printing. The ideal candidate will collaborate with local industry partners such as Lockheed Martin, BorgWarner, and Incodema to provide students with exposure to real-world practices and expectations. Candidates should have a passion for student success, the ability to create an engaging and safe hands-on learning environment, and a strong background in machining, manufacturing, or a related field.QUALIFICATIONS: Must have New York State Trans A or Initial Teacher Certification in an area of Career and Tech that is relevant to the position. Certification area of Manufacturing, Machine Tool Operation/Machine Shop 7-12 OR must have combination of Industry experience AND education to qualify for pathway to teacher certification. Must meet all NYS pathway certification requirements prior to appointment. Must be a team player and be willing to participate in co-planning, co-teaching situations in an integrated academic environment. Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and data management skills along with strong teaching and computer skills.START DATE: August 27, 2025SALARY: $56,500 (2025-2026 full-time base salary), plus additional salary credit for previous teaching or industry experience, Master’s Degree and/or graduate course work.
