The ideal candidate will have a strong background in math education, experience working with diverse student populations, and a commitment to helping students succeed. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education, Special Education with a math focus, or related field (Master's degree preferred).Valid NYS teaching license or certification in Mathematics or Special Education.Experience working with students in Grades 7-12 and providing math intervention or AIS services.Knowledge of math intervention strategies, assessments, and data analysis techniques.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Knowledge of the MTSS SystemsKnowledge of RTI Direct for record keeping of services Responsibilities:Identify students who require math intervention services through assessment data, teacher recommendations, and collaboration with school personnel.Develop and implement individualized math intervention plans for students, targeting specific areas of need and aligning with curriculum standards and learning goals.Provide small-group or one-on-one instruction to students, using research-based intervention strategies, manipulatives, technology tools, and differentiated instruction techniques.Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting intervention plans and instructional methods as needed to support student learning and achievement.Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, counselors, and parents to develop and implement strategies for students' academic success and progress monitoring.Maintain accurate records of student intervention plans, progress reports, assessments, and communication with stakeholders.Participate in professional development activities related to math intervention strategies, data analysis, and best practices in AIS instruction.Strong classroom management skillsAdditional Benefits:Generous Paid Time OffOn-going Professional Development and Career OpportunitiesHealth Insurance options: medical, dental, and visionNYS Retirement Benefits
