Sleepy Hollow High School Assistant Principal The Public Schools of the Tarrytowns are seeking a highly qualified educational leader to support the district’s mission of fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students and families feel welcome. The Assistant Principal works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, families, and the broader community to promote student achievement, positive school culture, and equitable educational opportunities for all learners. Responsibilities: Foster academic achievement for all students. Guide discipline-related matters in accordance with the student code of conduct. Promote high standards of student conduct by working collaboratively with the principal, teachers, and students todevelop and support positive behavioral expectations. Communicate with parents and guardians regularly. Assist in the evaluation of staff and faculty. Support building a master schedule and administering Regents and AP testing. Proactively plan and execute building safety and security measures. Enact the requirements and investigatory processes related to the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) Demonstrate a practical understanding of data-driven decision-making and the MTSS intervention process. The ideal candidate will possess passion, motivation, and experience that will help support the District in this work. Prior administrative experience and Bilingual/Spanish-speaking preferred Experience with Restorative Practices and MTSS intervention process ideal QUALIFICATIONS: Five (5) years of experience as a classroom teacher, teacher leader, mentor, and/or coach Must hold NYS School Building Leader Certification Bilingual (Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply Appointment: Probationary Track NEW YORK STATE CERTIFICATION: School Building Leader EFFECTIVE: September 1, 2026 Salary and benefits per the TAA Contract: 10 Month Position. Must work 20 days during the Summer months at per diem rate.
